I arrived in Sierra Leone to take up position as lecturer in Business at Institute of Public administration and Manageme nt IPAM in Freetown.

The impact of my placement

I taught a range of Business subjects which enabled students to receive professional qualifications.

My unforgettable moments

I introduced a university degree approved qualification to IPAM.

The impact my placement has had on me

I was in my 60 plus years old as a VSO (now 94) and you volunteering gives incredible pleasure and satisfaction seeing the success of the students move on in life and kept this philosphy throughout my retirement years - still active and volunteering!
